Last year as we visited the Makawanpur valley in southern Nepal our hearts broke over the severe poverty we witnessed. We trekked 10 days through a remote mountain valley, visiting believers who had been isolated from other Christians for decades. As we went from village to village we became painfully aware of their desperate situation.
